Recovering unsaved data

Whenever you display or manipulate a structure, CrystalMaker saves a temporary, "cache" file, which is used for undo commands. Normally, cache files are deleted when the program quits - but if the computer crashes before CrystalMaker quits, then the cache files remain on your hard disc and can be used to recover your work session.

On Mac OS X, cache files are stored in your user preferences folder, with the following Unix file path:

~/Library/Preferences/CrystalMaker Cache/

The files are numbered, with the highest-numbered file being the most recently-used. You should drag this file out of the cache folder before launching CrystalMaker, as the program does some housekeeping on startup, automatically deleting any "stranded" cache files that remain the CrystalMaker Cache folder.
