Can I run CrystalMaker 6 on an Intel Mac?

Possibly - but not very well.

Upgrade to CrystalMaker 8 to take full advantage of your new Intel Mac!

CrystalMaker 6 is designed to run on a PowerPC processor and does not run natively on the new Intel-based Macs. The program will run in Apple's "Rosetta" emulator, but there is a major performance penalty, and we cannot guarantee future compatibility for CrystalMaker 6.

Users purchasing, or considering purchasing, a new Mac should upgrade to the latest version of CrystalMaker (currently version 8). This features major improvements compared to version 6. It is also a Universal Binary application which runs natively on both older, PowerPC machines, and the new Intel-based Macs. On an Intel machine, CrystalMaker versions 7.1 and later run around 250% times faster than CrystalMaker 6, as the following table shows:

CrystalMaker
7.1 vs 6.3 on PowerPC and Intel
CrystalMaker versions 7.1 and later are faster on both PowerPC (G5) and Intel systems!

As these data show, users sticking with PowerPC hardware should also find that CrystalMaker versions 7 and later provide significant performance improvements.
